This Fall, OPI is bringing the smack down with 12 gorgeous shades from their new collection, Touring America. You can check out the press release by using your mouse to right click HERE and open a new window ;)
In this post, I will feature ALL 12 polishes. I did think about splitting it up, but I had some time this weekend to get all of the swatches done... so why not all together? For all swatches I used Sally Hansen for a base and top coat.
Let's get er done!
My Address is Hollywood is a very pretty dusty, rosy pink. I still had visible nail line (VNL) after 2 coats, so I went ahead and did 3 coats when swatching. It features a slight gold shimmer in the bottle, which doesn't translate as much on the nail. It's so beautiful, but I would love more of the shimmer. Shimmer-aholic. Right here.
Are We There Yet? is such a HOT coral color with gold shimmer. The shimmer is hard to see if you're not holding your hand right in a direct beam of sun, but it's there and so fab. Sadly, it was the only one out of this WHOLE set of 12 that didn't apply evenly. It had VNL so I used 3 coats as well. It's still one of my faves, because it reminds me of my childhood when I would go on road trips with my parents and I would go "Mom.. are we there yet? How many more minutes" bwuahahahha!
Yup. I Eat Mainely Lobster too... except not as much as I'd like ;) A beautiful Salmon Pink this hot shade took 3 coats, and will last longer than an actual lobster on your nails.
Every collection has to have a red. Color to Diner For is that red, complete with a light shimmer. This one also took 3 coats.
French Quarter for Your Thoughts is a flat cement gray. 2 coats actually looked ok with this one, but I did 3 for the swatch photo just to be safe. Application was fabulous on this polish. Normally the gray cremes give me issues, but FQYT was flawless!
Suzi Takes the Wheel is a gorgeous gray with a bite of light green in there. It's more interesting than just your basic gray and is definitely more my speed. I think this would be an awesome color for your Fall toes. So many people seem to go vampy with their Fall pedi, this would be an excellent color to change that up. For this polish I used 3 coats and application was flawless.
I'm really loving the khaki shade of Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window... but the name makes me laugh like I'm 8 years old (not a bad thing!). I'm just going to be delicate here and say that the name reminds me of someone breaking wind in the car. I'm still laughing... omg. Anyway, the swatch took 3 coats and the polish seemed a bit watery, so it was hard to apply without it running. Hopefully that was just my bottle and not EVERY bottle.
Get in the Expresso Lane is total Fall love. A deep, flat chocolate brown. Like the color of a coffee bean. They could have named this after Hershey, PA ;) As a Pennsylvania resident, I've done a road trip there several times! I used 3 coats for this shade.
A-Taupe the Space Needle is a Khaki-Taupe shade with smooth and easy application. I used 3 coats for this polish.
I Brake For Manicures is a lovely, and creamy eggplant color. It applied extremely well and even. I used 3 coats for the photo. I love the name, would it be weird to have this as a bumper sticker? Probably not.
Honk If You Love OPI is a yummy grape jelly shade. It took 3 coats for this photo, and if you enlarge it you can see it's still a bit patchy. Not sure why. It's a gorgeous shade though!
Road House Blues is one of my favorite colors. It's not blue, but it's not purple. It's actually the exact shade of my recent bridesmaid dress, which was called Lapis. This is my favorite shade from the collection, and you need it. I used 3 coats for the photograph.
Overall, I am in love with this collection. It's extremely hard for me not to love anything Fall. You could do so many different things, from a pretty petal pink, to a murky camo nail. I'm a little disappointed that there wasn't a rusty orange shade, or a mustard yellow... Like I said, I love the changing of the leaves!
Must haves (In this order!) - Road House Blues, Get in the Expresso Lane, Suzi Takes the Wheel, and Are We There Yet? Then, if you have the extra couple of bucks, get Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window simply for the name. It's a cool color as well ;)
Touring America by OPI will be available August 3, 2011, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.

Beautiful colors!
Road House Blues and Down the Window for me!
But you make them all look super cool. I'm sooo ready for fall and all it brings.
Pretty colors but I don't see anything I HAVE to have. Thank you for the lovely swatches, though!
Lovely. And I agree about the Espresso one being about Hershey, PA;)
I think I want about 5 of those nailpolishes OMG
Gorgeous colours! I especially like the darker shades like Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window, Get in the Expresso Lane, A-Taupe the Space Needle and Road House Blues.
