Make Up For Ever AQUA LINERS 12, 14, 15 Swatches & Review

(as always, you can click any of the pics to enlarge and see the color better)

Normally, the only eye liner I use is in pencil form. SOMEtimes I'll bust out a MAC Fluidline. Pencils are just easier, and quicker to deal with.

I had heard some REALLY great things about Make Up For Ever's Aqua Liners. I did a Sephora order and added Make Up For Ever 15 Iridescent Anthracite to my cart and hit submit. An addict was born.

From the Sephora website:
Aqua Liner
What it is:
A waterproof liquid eyeliner.

What it does:
Rich in polymers, this superior eyeliner offers an impeccable hold that guarantees water-, tear-, and smudge-proof color. Its ergonomic, foam-tip applicator is designed to resemble a makeup brush handle for the quickest, easiest, and most accurate application.

What else you need to know:
This product is fragrance free and ophthalmologist tested.

Sephora is the exclusive beauty retailer for this product.

Size: 0.058 oz

After the initial purchase of 15 Iridescent Anthracite I also went to my local Sephora and purchased 12 Mat Mocha, and 14 Diamond Multicolor Black.

The applicator is firm, but not so firm that it doesn't apply easily. My main issue with similar products (such as the MAC Liquidlast) is that the applicator was difficult to control, resulting in a wobbly line. I don't expect the line to be PERFECT, but I don't want to look ridiculous either.

The shades glide on effortlessly and stay on ALL day. You MUST shake these up before you apply. If not it's going to go on your lid all watered down and splotchy looking. I learned the hard way that you need to read directions when you're trying a new product lol

(L-R: 12 Mat Mocha, 14 Diamond Multicolor Black, 15 Iridescent Anthracite)

How does it compare to the Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Liners?
As you can see, the applicators are slightly different. MUFE has a slightly firmer and shorter applicator. It's almost not noticeable. They are both the same when it comes to pigment and staying power. I favor the MUFE Aqua liner more, just because of the slight difference in the applicator. However, they are both easy to use for an amateur like me ;)

I definitely want more of these, I think I need to dip more into the color spectrum of this line. Number 14 Diamond Multicolor Black actually shows up a bit purple, from the sparkles, but I think I want to go for something like 4 Diamond Lagoon Green, or 5 Diamond Turquoise Blue.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Liners retail for $23 each and are available in 16 shades at Sephora.

Those are amazing! I really need to try some of the MUFE or Stila. I wonder which will be easiest for me to get my hands on? hmmm

I have been playing with these at Sephora lately, I love all the colors! I love how the Diamond Multicolor Black shows up with a purple hue on your skin!
