Guerlain HAVANA & MAYA 'Terracotta - Terra Inca' Ombré Fusion Cream Eyeshadow Swatches & Review

Today I have something truly gorgeous to share with you. Guerlain 'Terracotta - Terra Inca' Ombré Fusion Cream Eyeshadow in Havana (02) & Maya (03). There is one more shade from this collection, Bahia (01), which is not pictured.

L-R Maya, Havana

From the Nordstrom website:
Ombré Fusion Cream Eyeshadow is a unique creation that offers the softness of a powder, the richness of a cream and the lightness of water all in one. These eyeshadows reveal a spectacular metallic effect by adorning the eyelids with fabulous shimmering reflections. The effect is striking and will last from dawn to dusk. Designed to resist heat and dips in the ocean, the Ombré Fusion eyeshadows are the first Guerlain cream eyeshadows specially created for summer!

These Eyeshadows truly are metallic. The trick to applying is to get a bit of product on your finger from the wand and lightly pat then sweep, pat then sweep, all over your eyelid until all of the product is smoothed out and blended. It will create a sheer, sparkle metallic sheen of color across your lid. You can leave it as that, or set a powder shadow over top. When I tested this product I did the pat and sweep twice to make it a bit darker before I applied Guerlain d'Un Soupir Eyeshadow. I didn't use any kind of primer underneath, basically because I wanted to test the wear with out it. It faded a tad before I added in the eye shadow, so I do recommend that you use your usual eye primer before applying this product.

Guerlain 'Terracotta - Terra Inca' Ombré Fusion Cream Eyeshadow retails for $35 and can be purchased at stores such as Nordstrom.

These are amazing! Wonder how they compare to the Chanel ones?

To me, Chanel's are a lot more pigmented and thicker than the Guerlain. I have to wait for Chanel's to dry, whereas Guerlain transforms into powder as it's sheered out. You can build up the color on the Guerlain, so it's less of a waiting game with the dry time, but if it's pigment you're looking for then you'd be better off with the Chanel.

Those colours are so pretty. I don't seem to have the patience for this kind of product though. Can't wait to see you use this in a look. I've really like the swatches I've seen and I'm definitely tempted!
