Le Metier de Beaute AUBERGINE, JADE, MIDNIGHT BLUE Anamorphic Lash Mascara Swatches & Review

I'm a hard sell on mascara. It took me around 28 years to find one I loved (aka MAC Plushlash). Since then, I've tried many. I do love the Plushlash, but I'm always on the lookout to see if it can be beaten. I think Plushlash has met its match.

From the Press Release:
Anamorphic Lash Mascara...In Living Color
With the fall runways full of wintery neutrals, color took center stage in beauty. Grapes, plums and purples abounded with the full range of jewel tones creating a flattering look on every woman. And the real insider beauty secret? Colored mascara. To truly bring out the eyes, look to create contrast with mascara. Le Metier de Beaute's best-selling Anamorphic Lash Mascara has a shade for every eye color. For blue, green, hazel, and brown eyes, Aubergine creates a universally flattering impact. The touch of dark plummy purple warms and brightens every eye. Midnight Blue, an intense navy, works its magic on green, hazel and brown eyes while blue and brown eyes steal the show in Jade, a deep evergreen. And for the true classicists, Black and Brownish Black will always have a place.

Since application is half the battle, Ivan Castro, Le Metier de Beaute's international Makeup Artist, has some expert mascara tips. "When applying mascara, divide your lashes into three sections," he says. "For the inside corner (the section closest to the inner eye), take the tip of the mascara wand and, as you apply, pull towards the nose/eyebrow bridge to hit those teeny inner lashes. For the mid-section of the lid, pull lashes up and through the brush wand to open up the look of the eye. And finally, for the outer corner, pull lashes through the ward towards the temple, for a wider, fanned style."

I absolutely loved this mascara. It was easy to apply and wore well. The wand separates the lashes so expertly, and didn't clump at ALL. I had no problems with flaking, drying, or breakage of the lashes.

From the Le Metier de Beaute website:
Get three-dimensional lashes for a wide-eyed look.

*Conditions as it thickens for a soft, touchable look.
*Anti-clump brush and volume-building formula define lashes without clumps.
*Long wearing, smudge-proof, and easy-off formula.
*Free of tar, mercury and charcoal.
*Contact lens safe; hypoallergenic.

I agree with every single point above. Le Metier de Beaute Anamorphic Lash Mascara is top notch. The suggested retail of this mascara is $34.00, but I actually do think this is a great item (and a great brand in general) to splurge on. I've found it to be well worth the money, every single time.

Here are some comparison photos to a few other mascaras I have, so that you can see the difference in the brushes:

I'm a fan of their mascara too in Aubergine. Kayla used the midnight blue on me and I loved it as well paired with Penelope.

I love the colours of these mascaras. That they are subtle tones of colour not full in your face colour. I find with my super sad lashes that I need a little more volume so I like to layer them over my Armani Eyes to Kill.
