Dior MITZAH 5 Couleurs Couture Colour Eyeshadow Palette Swatches, Photos, Review and Look

I decided to purchase the Dior 5-Couleurs Couture Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Mitzah because I decided against purchasing the $90 Panther Eye Shadow in Jungle Print. I thought that the Jungle Print would be more of a collectors item type of deal, and I like to use what I buy. Sure, it would be awesome to own, but not really ideal for me personally. Plus, I saw swatches at Cafe Makeup of the Jungle Print and Mitzah 5-Colour side by side, and they are looking pretty much the same.

From the Sephora Website:
What it is:
A limited-edition, five-color eye shadow palette in the iconic Dior "Mitzah" jungle print.

What it does:
This fashion-forward palette features five eye shadows in brown and beige tones embossed and designed with Dior's signature jungle print. The compact comes beautifully packaged in a black velour pouch lined with Dior's panther pattern for an extra touch of luxury.

What else you need to know:
An enchanting muse, Mitzah Bricard was an influential figure in the creation of the House of Dior. Setting the standard for elegance, she was an empress of style, whose audacious nature and lust for life continuously influenced Christian Dior. The signature elements of her look, such as the color lilac and notably, the famous jungle panther print, have become emblematic of Dior.

Shades include: chocolate brown shimmer, golden tan shimmer, camel sheen, ivory beige shimmer and deep khaki gray shimmer plus two double-ended sponge applicators.

This 5-Colour is made to have the shades all be worn together, or separately. For my eye look today, I decided to do them up all together, though normally with shades that are all deep like this, I would only use about 2 or 3, at most four. All of the shades are buttery and easy to apply. They are a lot more dense than I imagined and have a very, very slight shimmer but lay more satin in finish.

I adore the packaging, Dior's is always beautiful with it's shiny navy case, but the velvet pouch interior is leopard print! YAY! lol It's the little things, people ;)

Starting off, I prepped the eyes using Urban Decay Primer Potion. Then, I used the top right color all over the lid and up through the crease to create a sort of base for everything. In the crease and outer V I used the lower right color. I then took the middle color and smoothed it over the lid lightly. To top that off I took more of the top right color and patted it over top for a bit more shimmer and blendability. I used the bottom left color to blend out the crease and to highlight. The top left color was used as a thick liner on the lid. On the waterline I used Dior Crayon Eyeliner in Trinidad Black. I topped off the eye look with Dior Diorshow Mascara in Mitzah.

For fun, I took a pic of the insert I got in my Sephora bag showcasing looks using some of Dior's newest items (you can click to enlarge):

The Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Mitzah retails for $60.00 and is available exclusively at Sephora. This item is Limited Edition.
