This year China Glaze brings you the Metro Collection for Fall 2011. While I don't have the entire collection to share with you, I'm happy to bring you these 3 today - Street Chic, Skyscraper, and Concrete Catwalk. You can right click here to open a new window and view the official press release. Street Chic is part of the Uptown set, while Skyscraper and Concrete Catwalk are part of the Downtown set.
Street Chic is described as "This gorgeous beige crème is the perfect go to shade letting your clothes do the talking". It's a dusty purple, greyed taupe shade... not sure where beige is coming from. The shade is one of my faves for Fall and it went on easily and with full opacity in 3 coats.
Skyscraper is described as "A sparkling, glitter blue reminiscent of the sky over the city". Such a beauty. Much more beautiful on the nails than in the bottle. It took my breath away, especially when layered with Concrete Catwalk. This one was basically opaque in 3 coats, but I would have been happier with four.
Concrete Catwalk is described as a "Steel grey crème is amazing for a chic mani". Chic it is! It goes on a bit darker than what you see in the bottle, much darker than concrete, but it looked amazing when applied and very "city". I love the name, too! 3 coats were used for full opacity.
From the Metro Collection I've also reviewed China Glaze Brownstone, which is part of the "Uptown" pack.
China Glaze nail lacquers are available through salons and professional beauty supply stores nationwide. Retail pricing varies based on sales and promotions at your local shops, but can be anywhere from $3.99-$6.99.
