Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection Swatches, Review & EOTD

Hey, everyone! I'm still sick... lots of sinus pain. I finally sucked it up and went to the Urgent Care Center today for meds. They already feel like they're working! WHEW! I'm still exhausted, but I wanted to get the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection up before the palette is gone forever and the post ends up being moot... and this is also the only thing I have photographed and ready to go. I was holding on to the post because I wanted to do a few more looks with it, but I can always make that something separate.

From the Sephora.com website:
15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection
What it is:
A set of 15 all new eye shadows in celebration of Urban Decay's big 15.

What it does:
With just the right balance of neutrals and brights, darks and lights, the 15 Year Anniversary Palette is both versatile and the ultimate collection for the Urban Decay junkie. Shades like Junkshow (bright pink), Evidence (deep metallic blue), and Midnight 15 (an oyster pearl shade) are perfect for creating mesmerizing looks. The collectible gunmetal box features a luxe faceted jewel "UD" on the cover and an eye-grabbing laser-cut filigree design on the sides. Inside, the shadow tray can be pulled up and out to reveal a velvet-lined compartment that can be used to stash jewelry or other personal mementos.

This set contains:
- 15 x 0.05 oz eye shadows in Deeper (deep shimmery golden brown), M.I.A. (soft shimmery dark brown), Ace (dark gunmetal shimmer), Blackout (darkest, most saturated black), Half Truth (shimmery smoky purple), Tainted (pale matte purple with golden shimmer), Junkshow (bright pink with fuchsia shift), Omen (shimmery metallic bright purple with blue shift), Evidence (deep metallic blue), Deep End (bright teal shimmer), Midnight Rodeo (medium metallic brown with silver and gold glitter), Midnight 15 (oyster pearl with silver glitter), Vanilla (shimmery white gold), Flow (soft peach shimmer), Chase (metallic bright bronze)

(L-R: Midnight Rodeo, Midnight 15, Vanilla, Flow, Chase, Tainted, Junkshow, Omen)

(L-R: Evidence, Deep End, Deeper, M.I.A., Ace, Blackout, Half Truth)

All of the shades are super smooth and have very little fall out. I had such an easy time with the swatching and all swatching was done with NO base underneath. The sheerest shade and probably the one I like the least is Omen. It's still gorgeous but if it weren't in the palette is isn't a shade I'd go for by itself.

The best part is you can use the box to hold your jewelry, trinkets, what-nots... It's not just a throw away. The packaging is beautifully designed and has quite a bit of heft.

These are some great shades. It's 75% neutral and 25% bold. Perfect for me. I don't really own a ton of bold shades. I love the pink shade (Junkshow). For the EOTD I chose to use it rather heavily because normally it's not something I'd do. In the future it's likely I'll only be using Junkshow as an inner corner deal.

I'm excited to do a couple more looks for you at a later date when my eye balls actually don't look so sad and glassy lol But for now, here is the one look I created from this palette before I got *too* sick:

For this EOTD I used Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden and applied Junkshow to the crease. Next, I patted Omen all over the lid and used it a bit underneath the eye. I then took Vanilla and applied it to the inner corners and above the crease up to the brow. Taking an eye blending brush I got a bit of Junkshow and blended all together. For an eyeliner I used Urban Decay Rockstar. I don't own an Urban Decay mascara, so I used Le Metier de Beaute Anamorphic Lash Mascara in Aubergine.

As of this blog post the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection is still available at Sephora.com. You can also pick this up at Ulta, UrbanDecay.com and select Macy's. The retail on the palette is $55 and it is very limited edition. If you want it, don't hesitate!

I love Junkshow on you! I used the palette this weekend and I found that Deep End and Deeper had much more fall out than I had anticipated. I still find the palette a gorgeous and lust-worthy piece nonetheless but it seems UD shadows don't perform for me like they do for others. Oh well, more Chanel and LMdB for me hehe ;)

Those swatches are gorgeous, and with no base! I am a UD fangirl because of things like that. Your EOTD looks great on you! :)
