L'Oreal BLACK QUARTZ Double Extend Eye Illuminator Mascara Swatches & Review

Remember Sunday Photo Dump - Volume 2, where I had that EOTD that I lovedddd and couldn't figure out what it was or why I took pics? LOL

Well, the REASON I took pics that day was to show off the new L'Oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator Mascara in Black Quartz, which is for brown eyes.

This mascara works well, comparable to your usual drugstore mascara. I do like MAC False Lashes better for making my eyes look huge, but the L'Oreal is comparable to my beloved MAC Plushlash, which is nice because the L'Oreal is $4 cheaper!

I didn't think that the Step 2 Quartz part really made much of a difference. When I applied it after Step 1 (aka the black side) I didn't notice any sort of color change on the lashes, and it didn't have any effect on the overall look. What pleased me, is that it did not irritate my eyes at all. I wear contacts, and sometimes have a hard time with anything with shimmer in it.

Directions
Step 1: Place the brush at the base of the lashes, gently sweeping up to the tip.

Step 2: Apply the Illuminating Topcoat after Step 1 to just the corner lashes for an everyday look or the entire eye for a total glam look.
