With the mercury rising, it's time to slip off those heavy boots and slip into summer's sandals. Le Metier de Beaute's Mediterranean Holiday Nail Collection, reminds us of the warm sand beneath our toes with four shades named for the God's themselves, Dionysus, Eris, Athena, and Hera.
* Dionysus - Inspired by the God of rapture and bliss, of winemaking and wine and of the grape harvest, this deep, turquoise blue brings pleasure to all who wear it, suggesting the rich, fertile earth from which the grape comes.
* Eris - From the Goddess of Discord springs chaos and from chaos the appreciation of beauty, simplicity, and order. This rich bronze shields from chaos and finishes the nail in an armor of finery.
* Athena - This not too dark, not too light, neutral metallic represents the Goddess of strength, wisdom, justice, and civilization. It's perfectly balanced color flatters all.
* Hera - The Goddess of women and marriage would find her match in this sea green hue. A strong, yet feminine shade with many facets.
Specifically formulated to be 3-free without formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate (DBP), Proposition 65 compliant and fortified with strengthening proteins and hydrators, Le Metier de Beaute Nail Lacquers colors are highly pigmented for rich, glossy, long-wearing color.
These are definitely pigmented. I'm the queen of at LEAST 3 coats of polish and I really only needed one for each nail, though I did 2 because I wanted to make sure the color was even. Athena I did 3 coats because it didn't seem to cover as strongly as the others. I've been wearing Hera on my nails for a few days now and am impressed with the longevity and durability of LMdB polishes.
My biggest gripe, which I'm sure people have spoken about, is the size. These bottles are tiny. They have 4.0ml of product, where a mini OPI has 3.75ml. (see comparison photo below to a full size OPI and an OPI mini). Since the bottle is small, the brush is pretty thin. My fav nail polish brush is the new Dior brush. Super easy and quick to paint with! I'd love if LMdB would make the bottle of polish a bit bigger, boasting a brush similar to Dior's while still keeping at the same price point and quality.
Right now LMdB polishes are on websites for $15 each, but the new suggested retail on the PR release states that the NEW price will be $10. Still higher than your usual, run of the mill polish, but a lot easier to swallow! Who uses a whole bottle of polish anyway ;) With these you'll just waste less =P

Those are all so pretty!!! Love the size comparison shot. It's true...I never use a whole polish, so I don't mind that aspect but the tricky to use teeny brush may be a different story ;-) Thanks for the great review!
Omg! They are dropping in price? How did I miss this? You are the review to do swatches of the polishes! Thanks for this.
