Bare Escentuals THE SCENIC ROUTE bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 Swatches, Review and EOTD

I've made no secret about how I'm not a lover of loose mineral makeup.  Bare Escentuals is a brand I've stayed away from because of this.  Mineral makeup just tends to sink into my skin and disappear.  It's beautiful, but just doesn't work for me.

Of course when Bare Escentuals released their pressed shadows, I had to check it out.  During this years Sephora VIB sales, I grabbed a bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The Scenic Route.

From the Sephora website:
What it is:
An eye shadow duo of pure, intense color with antiaging benefits.

What it does:
BareMinerals READY™ Eyeshadow provides exceptionally vivid, long-wearing complementary colors in an ultra-smooth, silky texture for effortless application and seamless blendability. Powered by bareMinerals' proprietary SeaNutritive Mineral™ Complex along with powerful antioxidants, cold-pressed borage oil, caffeine and cucumber, these ingredients are known to deliver antiaging benefits including depuffing and antioxidant protection for a softer, smoother, revitalized eye area. It looks like a powder, but feels like a cream and delivers a beautifully vivid color.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Synthetic Dyes
- Petrochemicals
- Phthalates
- GMOs
- Triclosan
Size: 0.1 oz

The Scenic Route (golden snowflake/ brilliant sage) is a brilliant duo of white gold and a golden khaki brown.  The colors are absolutely vivid, and though I can't comment on the anti-aging benefits, this duo does glide on and wear effortlessly.

I was impressed with the staying power and blendability of these shadows.  I find them much better than the loose product.  Be warned, the golden snowflake side of this duo may look light, but it is mighty and packs a whopping pigment.  This is likely the most pigmented white gold I've ever seen and I'm enamored with it.

Here is a quick eye look I did using The Scenic Route.  The liner is Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Smog and the mascara is Le Metier de Beaute Anamorphic Lash Mascara in Jade.

Bare Escentuals bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 retail for $20 each and are available at Sephora and Ulta.  I will definitely be bringing you more of these duos in the future!  A++++ Bare Escentuals!!  Thank you!

I LOVE this! I swatched in Sephora and loved the texture and shades but passed on it. I think it's because I hadn't seen anyone use it and wasn't sure how it would work. Now, I know I *need* it. This looks amazing on you! I picked up the Showstopper duo, and it's gorg!
