Wet N Wild VANITY Coloricon Eye Shadow Palette Swatches, Review, and EOTD

Okay... I know. Two drugstore posts in ONE day?! Someone take my temperature. My reasoning? Keep reading to find out ;)

From the Wet N Wild website:
Glamour-eyes from day to night! Each complementary shade can be mixed-and-matched for a variety of day-to-night looks. These palettes of 3 matte and 3 highly-pigmented effect shades are sure to please the shade sassy minimalist and enthusiast alike!

Wet N Wild Vanity - Coloricon Eye Shadow Palette

Aside from the possibilities being endless look wise from these 6 shades, check out the pigment! Holy cow! These shades are remarkable. Easy to use, blend, and create with. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this palette.

For the eye looks, I decided to do two. Hey, I have two eyes, so why not?!

The first eye I created is a neutral, work safe type of love ;)
I took the middle left shade and smoothed the color deep into my crease. The I took the top left shade and patted it all over from lid to brow. I then took a blender brush, a dash of the top right color and blended. I topped this eye off with Le Metier de Beaute Dualistic Eye Pencil in Champagne and MAC False Lashes Mascara.

Now for eye look #2... Check this out... does it remind you of anything I posted recently?

How about Chanel Topkapi? I didn't notice it at first, because the swatches look nothing alike, but when I did the eye it was extremely similar... bronze... yellow... brown... hmmmm ... Now it's obviously NOT a dead on dupe, BUT the Wet N Wild is only $4.99 as compared to the extremely LE Chanel Topkapi, which is $65. You can use other shades to deepen it up a bit to get more in the Topkapi range, but if $65 is a bit too much, or you just plain missed out on it, Wet N Wild Vanity is a good jumping off point to recreate the elusive Chanel quad!

Anyway, to recreate the eye ball above I took the top right color and put it all over from lid to brown. I then took the lowest left shade and plopped it into my crease. I patted the lowest right shade onto my eye lid and then put the middle right shade in the inner corners of the eye and blended a bit into and above the crease. For liner I used Urban Decay Baked on the inner corner, and Urban Decay Corrupt for the outer liner. The look was topped off with MAC False Lashes Mascara.

I gave all 4 (Vanity, Greed, Lust, and Pride) of the Coloricon Eye Shadow Palettes in my 500 Follower Giveaway, now I'm sad I didn't get myself a set all the way back then! Right now Wet N Wild is buy one get one half off at Rite-Aid AND you get $3 in up rewards! The time to get these is NOW.

All by itself this palette is worth WAY more than they are asking for. But I'm not asking them to charge more. LOL Thanks for sharing 2 looks. :)
