Le Metier de Beaute ROCK N ROMANCE Nail Polish Set Swatches & Review

(click photos to enlarge, especially the swatch ones)

Are you sitting down? If you're reading this post from your phone, you might want to find a park bench and plant yourself. Yup... I'm building up. You know when I get THIS dramatic it's gotta be something great.

Le Metier de Beaute is a new brand to the scene, and even newer to me. They continue to floor me every single time I buy an item. Quality and beauty aside, their customer service is AMAZING.

For the 2011 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Le Metier de Beaute released a set of nail polishes called Rock 'N' Romance. The set contains four polishes and they are a NORDSTROM EXCLUSIVE set.

Scroll below to check out swatches, descriptions and reviews of Midnight Rendezvous, Heat of the Night, True Romance, and Chrome Passion.

Details on this set courtesy of the Nordstrom Website:
Classic style with a modern twist, Le Métier de Beauté introduces The Rock 'n' Romance Mini Nail Lacquer Set, exclusively at Nordstrom. Decadent color and opulent sheen, the unifying thread through this collection is glamour with an edge.

Specifically formulated to be 3-Free without formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate (DBP), Proposition 65-compliant and fortified with strengthening proteins and hydrators, Le Métier de Beauté Nail Lacquers are highly pigmented for rich, glossy, long-wearing color.

Set includes:
- Chrome Passion: a chocolate charcoal with sultry shimmer.
- Heat of the Night: a passionate black cherry.
- Midnight Rendezvous: a shimmering, steely midnight blue.
- True Romance: a delicate pale rose with a subtle metallic nude finish.

0.14 oz. each.

Midnight Rendezvous

A blue has never captured my heart the way Midnight Rendezvous has. I used 2 coats with this one, no base or top coat. The tone and sparkle of this particular blue can truly not be matched. It covered SO well, like it wanted to melt onto my nails.

Heat of the Night

Heat of the Night is so MOLTEN... it's the color of blackened burgundy, and reminds me of my pre-children Mitsubishi 2-door love. I used two coats for the swatch above, but could have gotten away with one coat with no problems. No top coat or base coat was used.

True Romance

While still amazingly beautiful, True Romance was my least favorite from the collection. Obviously every set needs a nude... but this would have been fun as a duochrome nude, something more rock and roll. I used 3 coats above with no base coat and no top coat.

Chrome Passion

Chrome Passion. You devil. Chrome Passion was my #1 reason for buying this set. The fact that I loved ALL of the shades (with 2 out of the other 3 knocking me off of my feet) was just an added bonus. Look at that freaking amazing black base and holo glitter. I had to do two pics to show my adoration. above I used 3 coats, but could have done two. I just couldn't stop painting this beauty.

I die.

Application on all shades was easy breezy, even, glorious. Wear on LMdB polishes is always outstanding. If you've been looking to check out their top notch polishes, now is the perfect time.

This is a PHENOMENAL DEAL. This entire set is only $25 for FOUR Le Metier de Beaute Nail Polishes! Normally these polishes run anywhere from $10-$18, respectively.

The BEST part is shipping is FREE. Call your local Nordies... heck, call ANY Nordies and orders $25 and over ship for FREE. FREE is a fun word. Let's use it more ;) If you would rather order from the Nordstrom.com site, use code BEAUTY at checkout for $5 shipping on beauty purchases of $50 or more.

PS - Dear Le Metier de Beaute, Please make it your business to enlarge the bottle size of Chrome Passion so I can keep it forever and ever and ever ... Love, Me.

I like these but I can't justify the price tag due to the bottles appearing to be around the same size as the OPI mini bottles. If they made them larger I'd probably buy them

True Romance is the only one that doesn't make me just want to faint. Ugh. So pretty!

I couldn't believe how tiny these sets are. Wasn't sure if I could get a full manicure out of such teeny bottles so I bought two sets because they're just too beautiful to resist.

They all look so pretty! True Romance is a bit too nude to excite me much but the other three.. so gorgeous. I hope sooner or later they will have 0.5 fl oz bottles! :D

I didn't like this set, I found the brushes way too small, and the application didn't go so well for me!! I did a blog post on it, but didn't publish it yet.
