These palettes come with an insert, and I think it carries some interesting information regarding these palettes:
ECRIN 4 COULEURS Long-Lasting Eyeshadows, Captivating Colours
Feel like matching your eye makeup to your mood or current look? Give in to the appeal of colour and indulge in the tempting Ecrin 4 Couleurs eyeshadow palette, your new beauty accessory.
Colour effects: 4 shades in the same colour family specially designed to inspire creativity. Play around with the shades, enjoy layering them to create your own tonalities and express your own idea of colour.
Texture effects: To catch the light and lend structure to the eye area, play around with the different textures of each harmony: matt, satin and iridescent. These soft shadows glide on effortlessly, draping a long-lasting veil of colour over your eyelid.
I thought that Les Verts applied nicely, but not as well as Les Bleus (reviewed previously). Les Bleus applied with much more pigment and ease. The four shades of Les Verts work together without much effort and can be worn in a variety of ways (tips and tricks are included in an insert that comes with this palette).
The dark brown shade is matte and worked best when I got it just a bit wet for a liner. The more muted green shade is very "army green" and is actually more pigmented than it looks in the arm swatch. I had no issues applying this as a crease color. The apple green shade is the most pigmented of the bunch and adds a nice pop of color to the inner corners of the eye, though it would look awesome pretty much anywhere you placed it. The final color is a wash of grey taupe. The shade is GORGEOUS. I used it as a base from lid to brow, but you could totally rock this alone with the dark brown as a liner for a nice, neutral look. I experienced no fall out with these shadows.
For the above eye look (after applying my UDPP!) I took the shade on the right and applied it all over the lid and up to the brow using a sweeping motion. I then took the bottom middle shade and applied it to the crease and lightly in the outer V area. After that I used the top middle shade and applied to the inner corners. I used the left shade as a top liner on top of Chanel Le Crayon Kohl in Black Jade. I used MAC False Lashes Mascara in Extreme Black to cap off the look.
The Guerlain Four-Color Eye Shadow Palette retails for $59 and is available at fine department stores such as Neiman Marcus, as well as at Sephora. Click here for more information on Guerlain Fall 2011 must haves!
I received this Palette as an early birthday present from one of my international girls that I CP for. I just thought that should be disclosed since I didn't purchase this myself ;) Thank you, Julia!!
