Le Metier de Beaute PENELOPE Kaleidoscope Eye Kit Review & Swatches

This Summer Le Metier de Beaute brings you their Mediterranean Holiday collection.

From the press release:
Le Metier de Beaute's new summer Kaleidoscope Eye Kit, Penelope, captures all of the beauty of the Mediterranean panorama. With four opulent shadow shades, Blonde Amber, Pale Satin Amethyst, Bronze Topaz, and Black Emerald, the Gods would be proud.

Proud is an understatement! I think the Gods would be falling all over themselves with these beautiful shades!

Blonde Amber: a sand-hued neutral, perfect as a shadow base;
Pale Satin Amethyst: a light purple, like the Mediterranean sky at dusk

Bronze Topaz: an alluring metallic, mimicking the sunset reflecting on the sand
Black Emerald: a deep ocean green, an irresistible finish

How to Use:
The Le Metier de Beaute signature eyeshadow application technique is comprised of four hues that are able to give maximum contrast to the wearer's eye color. Known as the "Couches de Couleur" (the layering of color), each hue is selected to evoke one of each element in a sequence of crescendo: 1. Warm 2. Cool 3. Hot 4. Cold. Each layer of application then increases the intensity of contrast, but is always flattering because of the initial blanket of warmth, in this case with Blonde Amber. Worn alone or in combination, "Penelope's" hues have it all.

I'm completely impressed with the softness and blendability of this Eye Kit. The shadows are HUGE and come in a fun round compact that swivels out AND a mirror on top that easily pops up for rechecks! The price looks killer, BUT if you're going to splurge on yourself this is a good product to do it on. The shades LAST over UDPP and I had no issues with fall out.

From the high-quality, fun packaging to the easy to use and blendable shades, Penelope, being the Greek Goddess of Fate, is clearly on a higher level. I played with this palette on my eyes today, and do plan on taking FOTD pics tomorrow for a post.

Le Metier de Beaute Penelope Kaleidoscope Eye Kit retails for $95 and you can pick it up in store or online at Bergdof Goodman, Neiman Marcus, or Nordstrom. Availability is May 2011.
