Chanel 42 BEIGE ROSE Perfection Lumiere Flawless Fluid Makeup Swatches and Review

I've been pretty happy with my current HG Foundation, which is the Dior Hydra Life Pro-Youth Skin Tint SPF 20.  It doesn't have a whole lot of coverage, but I wanted to keep my foundation as light as possible, and basically just help cover up some flaws.

In the wake of the recent release of Chanel's newest foundation, the Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup, I've heard rave review after rave review.  I just HAD to get myself color matched when I was at the mall on Monday, and pick up a bottle of this instant hit!

(swatched heavily and blended more as the color goes to the right)

I was matched to shade Beige Rose 42 (BR42).  I was actually REALLY shocked to be so dark.  It looks off on my arm swatch, but matches perfectly on my face.  This is why it's important to get matched to a new foundation rather than just jump the gun and order online on your first time.  I definitely wouldn't have thought I needed BR42.

Perfection Lumiere felt lighter on my face than the Dior Skin Tint does, which is interesting because it provides more coverage.  It kept my makeup on SO well throughout the day, I didn't need nearly as many powder touch ups and, in general, my "face" just wore better.  A little goes a LONG way and a dab will do ya ;) you don't want to look over done or "cakey".

Generally, I apply foundation on myself using my fingers.  With this foundation I  think I'd prefer a brush.  Chanel came out with a new foundation brush, so perhaps I'll give that a try.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup is available in a wide range of 20 shades and retails for $55.  You can pick this up at your local Chanel counter or store, and at Chanel.com.

9 times out of 10 I go to Ross Park, randomly I'll go to Monroeville. I went to SHV for the first time in August and I loved it, but it's a long and not fun drive lol

This foundation still has not launched in Canada and they don't even know when we'll get it. It's so frustrating how behind we get with some launches.

I'm considering doing a cp or something from the US but I don't know my colour. I think I may be similar colouring to you though, I'm NW25/Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua BR20/Nars Sheer Glow Santa Fe....do you think the same shade u ordered will work on me?

Shadowy Lady - I'm also MAC NW25 and BR20 in CVA, so you'd probably be good with the BR42 in this! =)
