MAC Sheer Mandarin, Blossom Culture, Korean Candy Sheen Supreme Lipstick Swatches & Review

This month, MAC released a new set of Sheen Supreme Lipsticks. These lippies are SO smooth, moisturizing and full of color - yet not over done.

From the MAC website:
Combining the colour impact of a Lipstick with the shine sheen of a Lipglass, Sheen Supreme creates the perfect hybrid - with no compromise. Lightweight, non-sticky, slick to apply and comfortable to wear. This is a must-have for all those who have craved this kind of fusion.

(L-R: Korean Candy, Blossom Culture, Sheer Mandarin)

Korean Candy

Blossom Culture

Sheer Mandarin

With the Sheen Supreme Lipsticks, since the lipstick is round and there is no point to help guide, I like to dab them on. Since these are on the sheer side, this gives a nice tint of color and you can decide from there if you want to swipe it on for layering to achieve more pigment.

Korean Candy may look scary in the tube and even when you look at the arm swatch, but it is an absolutely gorgeous shade. If you use the dab method described above you'll get a completely wearable to everyone shade of red. If you decide to do a swipe layer of color, you'll get the shade that is in the lip swatch photo, which is not loud in any way. This color is a great way to wear red and not feel self-conscious.

Blossom Culture in the tube is also scary to me, but because of the sheer wash of pink it is so easy to pull off. I was truly afraid this would be a pepto bubblegum pink, but it is a totally classy shade that is perfect for every occasion.

Sheer Mandarin absolutely took my breath away in the tube and the swatch. On the lips it's definitely not as loud, which is a GOOD thing. Who in the heck wants a garish orange on their lips? Maybe you can pull it off.. but not this girl. This shade is a work safe yellow-orange that all ages, races, and sexes would be proud to rock.

What impressed me the most about the whole Seasonally Supreme launch was the fact that most if not ALL of these shades are wearable. Usually there are at least one or two in there where I'm thinking... "REALLY?!" but not with this launch. I'm extremely curious to hit the mall and check out the other shades.

Sheer Mandarin is sooooo pretty in the tube. I passed on it after swatching, but seeing it on you makes me want to try it out again. Korean Candy is amazing!
