My NOTD... well nail of my reunion tomorrow (NOMRT?) is OPI Alpine Snow w/ OPI Fit For A Queensland on top... I like my nails white. I feel so mod ;)
Also, I called the new Sephora store in Times Square to see about having the 212 polish shipped to me.. they were sold out BUT the SA informed me that the 212 will soon be available at ALL Sephora locations. The company just wanted to keep it special for the grand opening. She wasn't aware of a date but if I hear anything I'll post about it.
Phew! I still have a chance!!

It's a HAUL of a day!
WOW. I can't even begin to think about where to start.
I got an amazing nail polish haul in the mail today. I'm talking 20+ polishes people!
I received an AMAZING package from a raffle I won on Swap Tawk. There are a couple polishes in there that are SURE to be HG and I can Franken and play around with whatever I don't like...
I also received my order from aveyou.com. Holy fast shipping! They fullfilled some MAJOR lemmings for me. I picked up OPI DS Glamour, OPI Melody In Mocha, and OPI Concerto in Copper. I could not find these ANYWHERE (other than evil-bay)... so to see them on there AND get them at discount?! I almost fell over. Become a fan of them on facebook and you get $10 off ANY order. You can use this multiple times... I did! They'll also send you another coupon for 15% off in your order.
A swap also arrived today containing OPI DS Signature (can you tell I am in love with the designer series?!) and Lippmann Superstar (which was the only one I wanted from the Nordies set).
Here are some pics for your enjoyment... I'll post NOTD pics with these soon. I haven't changed my mani yet because the Orly Mirror, Mirror is staying on GREAT. Better than any polish yet for me!! As a mom, my hands are ALWAYS in water, so for this to be holding on so well... thats 2 thumbs up from me.

TIME OUT! My Toddler Flooded The Living Room!
You know how they say that "I was frozen in place and couldn't say or do anything until it was too late" ? I just had that moment. Luckily it wasn't a safety issue.
My mother in law (MIL) gave all of the grandsons (4 of them) these squeeze bottles for drinks. Since we were walking there today (don't even get me started on how we walked 30 min there and 30 min back on the hottest day of the summer lol stupid) I decided to let him take his squeeze bottle & filled it with (thank God) water. He drank a good bit of it between being there and on the way home.
We're home & I'm reorganizing the diaper bag and putting things away when I hear this trickling noise. I turn around and he is dumping the entire bottle of water all over his table in the living room! After I picked my mouth up off the floor I said NO about 15 seconds too late. For the most part it stayed on him and the table.
As I changed his clothes I told him it was very bad what he did, explained why.. etc. Then got an idea.
Why not try time out? We used to put him in the crib and tell him he was in time out and make him stay in there for 2 minutes (since he's two) but he had his lovie and some stuffed animals in there, so to me thats not really a time out. He's successfully sat on the steps for time out twice at my MIL's... so why not try it here???
I took his little chair from his room and put it in the living room facing a blank wall and turned off the TV. I explained this was his time out chair and I told him he had to sit there until I cleaned up the water and the toys that were wet. He got up once because I took a few toys out of the living room to dry so he got an extra few minutes. I had to leave the vicinity to throw some things out and get him another (safer) drink. When I came back he was still in the chair so I let him out early. He sat as his table with his new drink & snack and said "I'm sorry, Mommy".
What a good boy ;) Can't believe it worked and it was SO easy!
My son will be 3 in October.

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall Part Deux
This polish is so dreamy and creamy it made me WANT to Konad it up! I got out my new Konad plate and my new black polish (PSA black Konad polish is MESSY and STAINS) and got to adding the butterflies. Love it. Getting much better at stamping. Practice makes perfect!!!
Mirror, Mirror On The Wall... Why Won't My Son Sleep In?!
Today I received my second order from VNS. It was the Orly Once Upon A Time set and China Glaze Moody Blue. I decided to put Poison Apple on my toes (do you know this was good in ONE coat?! I almost fell over. I did 2 for good measure though) and Mirror, Mirror on my fingers.
I won't gross you out with a foot pic (some people just don't like the feets!) but promise to put Poison Apple on my tips at some point.
Here is Mirror, Mirror - 2 coats, 1 flash ;) Please excuse my red thumb, there was a mishap with Poison Apple on my big toe lol
I didn't like this after I did my left hand, but as I finished up the right hand it grew on me. I may leave it on! I contemplated taking it off right after the pic... but seriously... it's nice!
On another note. We bed trained my oldest on Friday. He's doing SO well. Last night was a test, though I know people have gone through worse. DH was in the basement installing a toilet in our new bathroom and was having issues... making all kinds of noise... so DS went to bed late. As did I since I wasn't about to go to bed when all of that racket was BOUND to wake up both kiddoes. DS went down around 10 or 1030, me at 1230. DD up at 2. DS up at 230. DD up at 6. DS up at 630. He refused to go back to sleep. I probably should have pushed the issue of sleeping in more with him, but wasn't in the mood. Do you know he's still going strong and its almost 3pm?! I tried to get him to nap. I got about 30 min in and so did DD. DS just laid in bed and played. At least he was good. I don't get how kids are ready and raring to go with little or NO sleep?! What are these children on?! Gimme whatever they're taking!

Classy one day... Chic the next!
Yesterday I decided to give my poor nails a break from the dark polishes and try out my one and only Essie polish - Secret Affair. I must say... It's definately in my top 10 polishes. It is the perfect nail color for anything. I felt very classy as I wore it. My only complaint is, this morning it was pretty chipped up at the tips. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to konad on it today. Even so, there are definately more Essie's on my wishlist!
Yesterday I also started Poshe Cuticle Care. It smells divine and I can already see a difference! I'll keep you posted!
Today I have on China Glaze Lubu Heels. I LOVE this one too! Very Chic. I feel like I need the shoes to match lol I see this one being used by me quite a bit in the colder months!
I just noticed I did an angel/devil - naughty/nice thing these past 2 days lol Must be in honor of my children. When Owen is the angel, Lydia is the devil... and vice versa. Neither will nap today. That means it's not a good day =\ but at least the nails look pretty!

Konad - Day 2
Good morning!
Last night I applied my new favorite nail polish, Chanel Gondola (fall 2009).
This morning I decided to use Konad over top. In hindsight, I wish I would have went with white, since this is such a dark color. It's hard to see the silver =\ I used Konad plate m57 and this is the result:
Yes, I am aware my pointer finger konad is going in the opposite direction. What can I say. The baby started to cry and I needed to finish up 2 more nails quickly! It happens! My first VNS order comes today anyway, so I'm sure I'll be doing some repainting after the mail arrives!!

Kon-ADDICT
Last week I did my first ever Konad order from OCNailArt.com. When the order arrived I'll have to admit I let it sit around for a bit, as I was nervous to try it out.
Put your worries aside ladies! Not only is Konad EASY, it's FUN! It's super quick too, so I didn't have to worry about "little hands" messing up the manicure.
Last night I did a my mani in Orly Enchanted Forest (my first dark green.. heaven. I ordered the rest of the collection today).
Today, I added a bit of Konad Nail Art! I did mess up a few nails, so make sure when you first try it you're not going anywhere special. Basically, you have to be QUICK. No distractions. The middle nail in the pic below was the last nail I did and turned out the best.
I plan on trying this again tomorrow. I'll definately post the results again. I'm going to be addicted to Konad. That is for sure!

Online Haulage - It's A Day Of Deals!
I did some serious damage today online. Not sure what came over me. Maybe I was tired of wearing the SAME flip flops all summer last year and this year. I'm not kidding. ONE pair. Don't get me wrong, I adore them... They are from American Eagle 2 years ago and are just sequined white flip flops. Simple, go with everything.... don't rip my feet up. Love.
Anyway. I've been eyeing these Jessica Simpson (I know right?!) Sandals for MONTHS now... they are the Carsi (seen here ). Great reviews. Piperlime.com has FREE shipping right now and no tax is charged in my state on shoes. They are on SALE. So I believe that makes it JUSTIFIED. Plus on ebates.com right now you get 7 or 8% back.
The next pair I've been looking at for awhile too. The Ugg Halendi (seen here ) - I am a huge fan of all Uggs. I just love how comfy they are, and for the most part they are super cute. All mom's need the comfiest shoes possible, and it's just an added bonus when you can find them looking stylish. This was also on ebates for 7 or8% back as well as no tax.
I'm totally giddy over getting these in the mail. Both sites ship rather quickly, so hopefully I'll have them before the weekend!
To sum it up - between the 2 pairs of shoes I spent $138 after my $11.40 back from ebates =)
Then I went on over to OCnailart.com and picked up my first Konad stuffs! I got the Konad Starter Kit (comes with the basics, white polish, plate in M2, scraper, stamper), extra plate in M57, and polishes in Metallic Silver and Metallic Gold. I was nervous about this at first, but my 12 year old cousin has a set and can do it... so I figure I can too! Free shipping AND if you use code SCRANGIE (from scrangie.com 's np blog!!) you get another 20% off!
Now I'm on maccosmetics.com looking at makeup. Which I REALLY don't need :\ Colour Craft is just so gorgeous.... stop the insanity!
** As a former girl with a TON (like over $20,000 worth) of credit card debt I do NOT condone the online shopping spree. It's far too easy to spend loads of money. I spent most of my childrens nap time looking for the best deals on these and where to save the most. I also paid with my debit, not with a credit card. Don't charge, people.... bad bad things!

Sally Hansen Nail Polish
REALLY?! Confession. I am a huge label whore.
I have no drugstore make up. I have no drugstore nail polish. Until yesterday.
My sister in law showed up with a gorgeous shade of metallic gray (forget the name). It was a Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Polish and she said they were on sale at Rite-Aid for $1.99. That's all I needed to hear. We walked up and I picked up 5 different shades. (I'll post a haul pic later).
The one I'm wearing today is called Emerald City, and that is exactly what you'll think of when you wear it.
I have no idea if these polishes are normally $1.99 or if they're more. But get em... they're HOT.

Zumba
Trying Zumba is probably the best decision I've ever made. Actually... the best decision my DAD ever made for me lol
My dad is the Executive Director of our local YMCA. He likes to get me to try out new classes so I can let him know what I think. A while ago, when I had mentioned to him that I was going to get back in shape after baby, I asked him if I could teach a hip hop class in the future. A week later he told me Zumba would be starting up and that it's like the video I sent him. I read a bit on it and told him that is NOT hip hop (and nothing like the video I sent lol my dad is so cute) but once I youtubed it (search Zumba on youtube, click the first video, amazing!) it DID look fun!!
I tell you what... I've NEVER in my life worked up a sweat like I do in Zumba. It's a 60 minute class and you do not stop moving the whole time. The very first day I felt like I was going to throw up. The next morning my body hurt like it was in pieces. (It does get easier!)
The nice part about Zumba is that you don't NEED to be good at it. You can do your own thing (my friend Amanda & I like to goof off and battle each other with moves lol) step wise. The most important thing is to keep moving and have fun. I do have a heavy dance background, which I think hinders me more than helps. I'm used to counts and the "right way" to do things. With Zumba you get neither. The instructor starts, you follow. You technically can't even call him or her an instructor, because you're just following what they do.
Zumba is one of the hottest exercise crazes in the WORLD. Check out your local facility and see if classes are offered. If classes aren't offered you can request them. This is something that you should definately check out.
Here is a great site that will answer all of your Zumba questions! http://www.zumba.com/us/about/

"Don't Say 'Shit', Mommy. It not nice."
Real quick... I'm folding laundry this morning and my oldest, Owen, said something snotty. Under my breath I said "That little shit." and he heard me, and comes back with "Don't Say Shit Mommy... It Not Nice!"

A little bit of cleaning, turns into a Jon & Kate rant lol
My cousin Jenna Lynn is coming today! She's never met the baby so we're super excited to have her here.
I have been cleaning like CRAZY. It made me think about something. WHY, when someone hasn't been to our house before, do we clean like maniacs? Corners and ledges get cleaned that haven't been touched in I don't know how long. But when someone comes who is here all the time, such as parents or siblings... cleaning get's totally half assed?
It is SO hard to clean when you have kids. With my kids, they are gated into the living room. I usually clean that the night before and the rest of the house the next day. I also keep a schedule for light cleaning throughout the week so it never gets out of hand.
I see OCD types like Kate Gosselin who make it look so easy to go go go! I do feel bad for her. In the beginning you can tell how much in love she and her hubby are. It's understandable why she chose reality life. They got lots of $$... lots of freebies... she's able to give EIGHT kids everything they want. But was it worth the destruction of her marriage? You can tell Jon was over it after the first season. When it's the choice between keeping your family whole and money, family should win EVERY time. So what if you can't keep the big, beautiful home or go on 20 trips a year. Take a break and enjoy your loved ones. I hope that they can work it out. I loved their family dynamic in the beginning. Watching it now is just sort of like watching a train wreck....

Intro
This is hopefully the beginning of a wonderful blog. Rants... raves... etc. Mostly about beauty & kids, which are two of the things I work best with!
I'm a stay at home mom (SAHM) to 2 children... a 2 year old (Owen) and a 4 month old (Lydia). I'm 28 years old and have been married for a little over 4 years.
I wanted to start a blog because I feel like things go down and they can be annoying... or embarrassing .... and people feel like they can't be candid about it all. Who cares what random people think??? Not me. I want anyone who reads this to say to themselves... "YES I've been there and I thought the SAME thing." OR even better... an opposing view! PLEASE feel free to post your opinion. All I ask is that you be mature and respectful in your postings.
I have an insane fetish with buying MAC makeup... or any makeup for that matter... and nail polish. I'd love to also use this blog to post hauls, reviews, and nail of the day photos (NOTD).
Well, that's it for now! Let the fun begin!
