Le Metier de Beaute Ken's Korals KISSABLE KORAL Moisture Stain Lipstick & KONTAGIOUS KORAL Nail Lacquer Swatches & Review

When FedEx arrived this afternoon, I hadn't planned on doing any more posts until tomorrow. Le Metier de Beaute Ken Downing's Koral Collection was inside... so I thought I'd get a head start on my pics and swatches for tomorrow, since I have the rehearsal dinner in the evening. I was BLOWN away by how beautiful the items looked and how WELL they applied!

Let's get started, shall we?

In this collection are 2 items - Kissable Koral Moisture Lipstain and Kontagious Koral Nail Lacquer. Both are a steamy shade of reddish coral, perfect for a hot summer day or a sultry evening.

Kissable Koral Moisture Lipstain applied smoothly, and left a nice stain after a few hours wear. It really does feel moisturizing. This is one of the few lipsticks I've owned that I don't feel like I NEED to have a gloss over it.

Kontagious Koral Nail Lacquer is a one coat wonder. It only took ONE coat on this three coat-aholic. I cannot WAIT to put this on my toes for the wedding this weekend.

I also plan on using the Moisture Lipstain. My whole makeup plan for Saturday needs redesigned to compliment this lipstick. So much for being prepared ;)



And, guess what? All of you MAC lovers out there that missed out on Hibiscus Lipstick from Surf, Baby! ... Kissable Koral is a dupe! When I put it on I thought it looked familiar, so I did a side by side comparison:

Hibiscus is perhaps half a shade lighter, but when I had them on my lips I couldn't tell the difference. The LMdB lippie is more expensive, but for lovers with a major lemming, it's a drop in the bucket ;) And probably less than what you'd pay on evil-Bay.

    Nice! My KK polish arrived early last week, but I haven't tried it on yet. Maybe tomorrow. The color looks beautiful on you, and now I wish I'd gotten the lipstick.

    Piping in to comment that when I compared Le Metier's Riviera with Kissable Koral today at Neiman Marcus, there was absolutely no difference in color or texture. I even went outside into the daylight to confirm this. They offer a dupe in their own line!
